Female Autumn Retreat
Culinary & Nature Retreat
28 October - 1st November
West Sweden
SOLD OUTVälkommen to Sweden Retreats,
a place to connect with nature, indulge and slow down in Swedish nature, make new friends with other Sweden-lovers, eat good food, get new foodie inspiration and enjoy relaxing days. This retreat is a place of lightness, where every little detail is thought of, where you can lean back and just be in the moment surrounded by beauty. The essence of Swedish autumn.
Sweden in October is special. Orange colours exploding everywhere, beautiful forests with Twilight vibes, a warming campfire, crisp air, nourishing seasonal produce, and a red cabin with a candlelight dinner waiting. Pack your cozy knit and get ready for slow, enriching days up north.
I cannot wait to welcome you here.

About the Retreat
This is a full service retreat - from the moment you are getting picked up by us at Gothenburg airport or station, everything is taken care of and you can lean back.
We will dine, cook over the fire, forage chanterelles, relax in the sauna followed by dips into the lake, enjoy the view in the hottub, hike in nature, preserve & ferment seasonal fruits and veggies, kayak, indulge in alcohol-free aperitivos & play with autumn flower arrangements.
This is an all ages female retreat (trans women/nonbinary welcome), open internationally. We will start in the afternoon of the 28th of October and will close in the morning of the 1st of November.
Limited to 8 spots.
The retreat is sold out - in case a spot opens again, we will inform you via our newsletter so make sure you sign up below. <3

Kayaking & Hiking
Making autumnal flower arrangements (you’ll get your own flower frog/kenzan to take home)
Free time - time to relax in the cottage, read a book in a hammock by the lake (if it’s not too chilly), connect with the others, chill by the fireplace
& of course, indulging in the food: Swedish Fika (coffee, tea & sweet snacks), breakfasts, lunches, aperitivos and dinners (we will have some at the long table in the garden, if the weather allows)
Activities
The retreat home is located on a beautiful peninsula, about 30 minutes from Gothenburg airport. It’s a Swedish-typical red wooden cottage, it’s quiet, it’s peaceful, surrounded by the forest and right by the lake so that we can have outdoor dinners in the forest with lake view if the weather allows, take cold lake baths from our private beach, and hop into the sauna and hot tub. The interior is classic vintage-Swedish style. There’s a big hill behind the cottage that belongs to the property - perfect for morning walks overlooking the lake. Each room will be shared with one other woman, the rooms have side lake view and cozy bunks and the bathroom is shared. There is one King-Size bedroom with a spectacular lake view available (first come first served).
The Home
The Food
All of the meals will be vegetarian, and mostly made from local products - we work together with local organic farmers like Lilla Labäck to bring the freshest and seasonal nordic ingredients to the table. You can expect cozy Farm2Table dinners, Swedish Fika, as well as food we will cook outdoors together over the fire. Think of a mix between modern scandi cuisine, shared plates and some asian inspired dishes. There will be a 3-course welcome dinner (saffron, yuzu & ferments themed) from Hannah, accompanied by an alcohol-free drink pairing from HVONN. Another day, there will be a dinner with an alcohol-free drink pairing by Villbrygg.
We won’t be serving alcohol but delicious mocktails/aperitivos, nordic alcohol-free drinks and teas.
Please let us know of any allergies or special diets in advance so that we can accommodate all of them! Our private chef can accommodate most wishes (e.g. vegan, gluten free etc.)

No, not at all - the most “sporty” thing we will do is kayaking, but we have also kayaks for 2 for those who are unsure or have never done it before so that they have at least one other person in their kayak with them.
-
Absolutely! We have had lovely women from the U.S. joining us before. Do let us know if we can help with an itinerary (free of charge of course) to extend your Sweden trip and make it worthwhile to fly across the pond!

Of course! There is a fantastic van spot right by the lake.

We will have offers next year that includes all genders. <3
For this year, our autumn retreat will be female only (trans women/nonbinary welcome) after we did several surveys and seeing a demand for women-only retreats.

Most of the activities are possible to do in rainy weather - for those that need dry weather, we always have a plan B! There is, for example, a fanstastic cozy antique/second hand store nearby… :-)
